Statutory purpose
Zweck der Stiftung ist das wissenschaftliche Werk von Lucius Burckhardt zu fördern und weiter zu entwickeln. Die Ergebnisse seiner Forschung sollen aufgearbeitet und der Wissenschaft zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Zudem wird die Stiftung im Gebiet der Sozioökonomie urbaner Systeme die Forschung unterstützen, im speziellen die Promenadologie, die auch Spaziergangswissenschaft genannt wird. Die Stiftung kann sodann weitere kulturelle Projekte unterstützen, vorzugsweise im Raum Basel und Graubünden.
