For patients who cannot afford a vital treatment in developing or emerging countries (Eastern Europe, Asia): diagnostics and therapy are funded.
Statutory purpose
Die Stiftung unterstützt den Aufbau und die Weiterentwicklung des Gesundheitswesens in Entwicklungsländern und Schwellenländern mit Schwerpunkt Osteuropa und Asien; Sie organisiert die Aus- und Weiterbildung von medizinischem Fachpersonal und übernimmt eigenverantwortlich komplexe therapeutische und diagnostische Massnahmen vor Ort. Sie finanziert diagnostische Abklärungen und therapeutische Massnahmen für Patienten, welche sich eine vitale Behandlung nicht leisten können. Sie unterstützt und organisiert den internationalen Austausch von medizinischen Fachkräften aller Art. Sie unterstützt, berät und überwacht medizinische Forschungsprojekte und kann selber Forschungsprojekte gemäss den GCP (good clinical practice) Guidelines durchführen.
