Statutory purpose
Die Stiftung trägt zum sozialen Schutz der SFJ-Mitglieder bei. Sie bezweckt die kurzfristige Unterstützung von in wirtschaftliche Bedrängnis geratener langjähriger Aktiv- und Ehrenmitglieder mit und ohne Berufsregistereintrag des Verbandes Schweizer Fachjournalisten und bei deren Tod deren hinterlassene Ehe- bzw. Lebenspartner/Lebenspartnerin sowie deren eigene, unmündige Kinder. Die Stiftung richtet keine Altersrenten aus.
