Die Stiftung führt eine Klinik, die schwerkranken Patienten medizinische Behandlung, palliative Pflege und menschliche Betreuung bietet, besonders in der letzten Phase ihres Lebens. Ausserdem nimmt die Klinik vorübergehend zur Entlastung pflegender Angehöriger Patienten auf und stellt vereinzelt Plätze für Patienten in Rehabilitation zur Verfügung. Die Klinik nimmt Patienten ohne Rücksicht auf Alter, soziale Herkunft und Glaubensrichtung auf. Die Stiftung kann die palliative Pflege auch auf andere Weise fördern.
