Funds organisations' projects on sustainable use of non-timber tropical forest products, supporting biodiversity and local populations.
Statutory purpose
Förderung der nicht auf Holzwirtschaft bezogenen nachhaltigen Nutzung der Tropenwälder (sog. Non Timber Forest Products, NTFP); kann eigene Projekte durchführen sowie sich an solchen anderer Organisationen durch eigene Leistung oder finanziell beteiligen und arbeitet mit staatlichen und nicht-staatlichen Organisationen (sog. Non Government Organisationen, NGO), wissenschaftlichen Institutionen sowie weiteren auf diesem Gebiet tätigen Institutionen zusammen. Das übergeordnete Ziel bildet die Erhaltung der Biodiversität sowie die Verbesserung der Lebensbedingungen der dort heimischen Bevölkerung.
