Die Stiftung bezweckt die Förderung des autofreien Kurortes Mürren. Dieser soll insbesondere erreicht werden durch die Unterstützung touristischer und kultureller Belange im Kurort Mürren, die Förderung des Breitensports in Mürren, die Erhaltung des Charakters des Dorfes Mürren und des Landschaftsbildes allgemein, die Unterstützung einer gesunden Vollkswirtschaft im Lauterbrunnental und insbesondere auch die Erhaltung von Landwirtschaftsbetrieben in Mürren.
