Die Stiftung bezweckt die Finanzierung der Forschung sowie der Aus- und Weiterbildung in Diagnostik und Therapie von Leberkrankheiten und zwar im Rahmen des Ordinariats für Hepatologie der Medizinischen Fakultät Bern. Die Stiftung ist im Rahmen der Zwecksetzung im Kanton Bern tätig. Gewinn und Kapital der Stiftung sind ausschliesslich dem vorstehend genannten Zweck gewidmet. Erwerbszwecke sind ausgeschlossen.
