Die Stiftung bezweckt in erster Linie die Unterstützung bedürftiger Personen aller Altersgruppen mit Wohnsitz in Stein am Rhein, insbesondere von in Not geratener Steiner Bürgerinnen. Sofern es die Mittel erlauben, können soziale Projekte und Institutionen in Stein am Rhein unterstützt werden. Die Einzelheiten der Nutzniessung sind im Stiftungsreglement festgehalten.
